Although Sorrento is half plus coveted, I want to clarify that the Sorrento Coast is rich in beautiful locations with equally gorgeous sea as: Massa Lubrense, Sorrento, Vico Equense, Amalfi, Vietri sul Mare.

How to get from Naples to Sorrento and the Sorrento Coast from Capodichino Airport

How to get from Naples to SorrentoThose who make own holiday in Sorrento or Sorrento Coast generally takes a flight to Naples, and more precisely to the Capodichino Airport, now we’ll find out how to get to Sorrento from Capodichino Airport of Naples.
Luckily the whole Sorrento Coast is well connected with Naples, and then coming from Capodichino Airport is very easy to arrive on the Sorrento Coast. In particular from here is quite easy to take the Curreri Viaggi Bus, which leaves every hour from Naples and arrives very quickly in Sorrento, Meta, Piano di Sorrento, Castellammare, Meta and Vico Equense. In this case the cost of the ticket is about 10 € and can be purchased on the bus. But to get from Naples to Sorrento from Capodichino Airport there is also the Alibus, a bus which works from 6:30 to 23:30. It will take to Napoli Centrale railway station. From here you will need to take the Circumvesuviana for Sorrento Coast. In this case the cost of the ticket is three Euros and is valid for 90 minutes.
Actually there is another option. Instead of getting from Naples to Sorrento and the Sorrento Coast starting from Capodichino Airport, you can use another airport located 40 km from Salerno, Pontecagnano Airport. However, I strongly advise against this option.

How to get from Naples to Sorrento by train

To get from Naples to Sorrento and Sorrento Coast there are several options. A widely used method is the train. In this case, the start will be from Naples Central Station and from here, you have to take the Circumvesuviana train to the towns of the Sorrento Coast. The Circumvesuviana is a train that connects many places making his way along the perimeter of the Vesuvius and continuing its path. To get from Naples to Sorrento by train you will need about an hour, using the Ticket Unico at a cost of 3.30 euro.
It is in an ideal situation for those who have fear of flying or have intentions to travel to Italy by train.

How to get from Naples to Sorrento by car

A widely used method to reach Sorrento and Sorrento Coast is undoubtedly the car. Getting from Naples to Sorrento by car is quite easy, both because the car rental services are abundant, both because the road is very simple. From Naples we must get onto the A3 highway and the A3 will be the way to use even in the case you’ll be coming from Rome, from Bari or from South Italy. However, once on the highway you have to leave in Castellammare di Stabia exit from where you will follow the SS145 street. Getting from Naples to Sorrento by car will give you, once placed on the SS145, the opportunity to enjoy a breathtaking view along a road overlooking the sea bordering really characteristic villages.

How to get from Naples to Sorrento by ferry boat

Reach the Sorrento Coast from Naples by ferry boat is undoubtedly more interesting and less stressful. Unfortunately you can do it only during the summer with departures from Molo Beverello. To get to Sorrento from Naples by ferry boat you will need to use the Metro del Mare, and in particular the lines MM1, MM2 or MM3. From 23 April to 29 May and from September 8 until the end of active service there are only the lines MM2 and MM3 to which is added, from May 30 to September 7, also the MM1 line.
To get from Naples to Sorrento by ferry boat you will need about an hour and a ticket will cost you € 6.50. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office or on boats.
